The suspect in the deaths of a woman and her father in Iola dies from injuries sustained in a self-inflicted shooting. Tulsa Police say, as they were closing in, 38-year-old Ben Converse shot himself with a handgun. Amy Elliot of the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office confirms Converse’s death and says his organs were being donated before an autopsy is conducted.
A manhunt for Converse began on Thursday after the bodies of 36-year-old Molly Wilson and 69-year-old John Tadlock were found in their Iola home. Converse was located in Tulsa on Friday. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office say the investigation continues.
