Protecting Our Animals in Winter

We spoke with Becky Barnhardt from the Coffeyville Friends of Animals on protecting your animals this winter. She explains when it does decide to snow, to double check the paws on your four legged friends. Frequently check underneath their paws as it can potentially build up and become painful. She also urges you if possible to bring them inside during the cold winter months to keep them warm overnight. Barnhardt wanted to tell our listeners that come winter time temperatures will dive below freezing., With those temperatures your animals water will freeze and you need to check it frequently as they must have water. She also says straw is a great insulator for the cold. Again she urges you if possible to bring them inside during the cold winter months to keep them warm overnight.
