The names of the victim and suspect in the Cherryvale Homicide have been released by the Cherryvale Police Department. Yesterday evening at around 6:00pm officers were dispatched to W. Whelan Street in Cherryvale for a report of a domestic disturbance with reports of shot fired. Upon arrival officers found 62 year old Richard Schultheiss unresponsive. Shultheiss was transported to Labette ER were he was pronounced dead of a single gun shot wound. Upon initial investigation 50 year old Julie Ann Fagerstrom was placed under arrest and proccessed into the Montgomery County Jail, in connection with the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing and final charges will be determined by the District Attorney’s Office.
