With the recent temperature drop and snow you need to make sure you have your car ready for the winter. Triple A Kansas's Shawn Steward says there's really two things that stand out as far as maintenance items.  He says you should make sure that the battery cables and connections are free of corrosion.  Steward adds you need to make sure you have the right type of coolant and wiper fluid.

Steward says preperation goes beyond car maintence as you should have a winter emergency road kit in your car as well.
