A Bartlesville native heads to the Athletic Hall of Fame at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. William (Bill) Yocum graduated from Bartlesville High
School before attending NEO where he was a member of the 1969 National Championship Team. He was named NJCAA and Gridwire All-American
and named one of the Outstanding College Athletes in America in 1970. After attending NEO, Yocum lettered at Texas A&M. He returned in 1977 as the
head wrestling and assistant football coach for the Miami school. He is among eight who will be honored on September 15th.
Yocum is retired, living in Lewisville, Texas.
