Severe weather moves across southeast Kansas yesterday. Around 7:30 last night, a tornado struck Eureka in nearby Greenwood County. There are reports that five people were hurt, at least one critically, in that storm. Clean-up and recovery are underway. Westar's Gina Penzig says they have all hands on deck. The American Red Cross has set up a shelter at the Methodist Church. Governor Jeff Colyer has declared a state of emergency.
This is the second tornado to strike Eureka in three years.
