May Revenue Estimates Are Up From Last Year

Now that we fall in between legislative sessions, not to much news coming from Topeka. We did speak with representative Jim Kelly on our May revenues as he says things are looking pretty good. Kelly who we might note, finished with a 100% voting record this past session. Did want to also note that these estimates may not continue to rise at the rate they have been, but right now, things are looking promising

Stating we’re up 101 million on our May estimates and are also over a billion dollars above our estimates from the previous year. He did want to highlight the only real concern speaking numbers was our sales tax revenues were about 725,000 dollars below estimates. He noted that it could be from a lag of that information coming in, or sales may truly be down throughout the state.
