City Commission Hears From The Superintendent

The superintendent of Coffeyville Public Schools visits city hall. Dr. Craig Correll addressed the Coffeyville City Commission, asking them to consider extending a sales tax to help finance improvements, primarily at Roosevelt Middle School and Field Kindley High School.  The commission will determine if residents are allowed to vote on the sales tax to be including in the finance package to help offset some of the costs from property taxes.

In other business, a loan application was approved from the Distressed Housing Reinvestment Program for another Peggy Steele property on 9th Street. A grant was also approved to provide an incentive to Thompson Brothers Welding and Industrial Supply for a sewer lift station at their new location.
