Two Arrested in Connection With Independence C-Store Burglary

 

Two people have been arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department in connection with the burglary of an Independence convenience store.   48 year old Donnie Caldwell and 52 year old Carol Correia, both of Independence remain in the custody at the County Jail in connection with a burglary and theft of the Jumpstart  Convenience Store at South 10th Street and College Road in Independence.  The two were arrested by the Sheriff’s  Department acting on a tip from the Independence Police Department after executing a search warrant at a residence located at 924 E. Cottonwood in Independence.  During the search officers recovered property from the burglary as well narcotics including marijuana, methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia.  The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is recommending charges of burglary, theft, criminal damage to property and multiple drug offences. 

 

Sheriff Bobby Dierks praised the Independence Police Department for their assistance.
