Issues growing between the Nowata County Sheriff's Office and the Nowata Fire Department. This stems from an incident where the Sheriff's Office called in a Bartlesville ambulance for a wreck on Highway 60 in Nowata. Fire Chief Stephen Parmenter says the Sheriff has also made comments that have upset some firefighters.

Undersheriff Chris Sitsler says it was just simply miscommunication.  When asked about the incident Sheriff Kenny Freeman says he isn't sure why it happened, but says they do have a lot of new people working dispatch.
