The Sedan Police Department is out with a warning. Residents are advised to keep their trash to themselves. They've had some recent issues with littering or illegal dumping. Sedan Police say the fine for criminal littering is costly and will not be tolerated. The fine is no less than $250 plus $95 court cost and no more than $1000 plus $95 court cost.

If evidence is found linking trash to an individual, police say they will be charged.
