Kansas readies to pioneer the use of unmanned aircraft. The state is among 10-sites selected by federal transportation officials to serve as a test site for increased government and commercial use of drones. Senator Jerry Moran says the state is an aviation leader. Moran notes Kansas is the first state to have unmanned traffic management in place for all state agencies, airports and higher education.
The drone program will run over a three year period. Oklahoma was also among the states selected.
