The City of Coffeyville announces applications are being accepted for the Alcohol and Drug Fund Grants. The State of Kansas created an Alcoholic Liquor Fund from taxes paid on alcohol purchases. One-third of the money Coffeyville receives goes to the general fund, one-third goes to parks and recreation, and the final one-third goes to a special alcohol and drug program fund. That money is designated for education and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse.  The amount available for grants is $30,973.72.
