Jayhawk Football One of Nation's Biggest Wild Cards

Following a disappointing season that ended with a 5-7 record after conference championship hopes, the Kansas Jayhawks are expected to be one of college football's biggest wild cards in 2025.

KU will look to ascend back to the top of the Big 12 conference, and compete with the likes of Kansas State, Arizona State, Baylor, and Texas Tech for the conference title and playoff berth.

Jalon Daniels is returning to Lawrence to lead the Jayhawk offense, but the team suffered multiple key losses on both sides of the ball, losing running back Devin Neal, and cornerbacks Mello Dotson and Cobee Bryant. Running back Daniel Hishaw returns for his senior season, and is expected to be the team's top offensive weapon alongside Daniels.

The Jayhawks open the 2025 season against Fresno State on August 23rd, and will travel to Missouri, Texas Tech, Arizona, and Iowa State during the season.
