The Royals were able to snap an extended home losing streak on Saturday, but were unable to win the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, falling 5-1 in the rubber match.
Kansas City struck in the opening inning, with an RBI double from Bobby Witt Jr, but were unable to muster any additional runs on the afternoon. Kris Bubic allowed two runs in five innings of work, and picked up his sixth loss of the season.
Royals Manager Matt Quatraro says the team continues to work their way out of an extended offensive slump.
Kansas City earned their first win at Kauffman Stadium on June 28th, after 11 consecutive home losses. Quatraro says the team must play better in front of the home fans.
The Royals head west this week, beginning a series with the Mariners tonight, before traveling to Arizona over the weekend.
