A successful road trip ended on a sour note for the Kansas City Royals, losing the series finale to the San Diego Padres, 3-2 yesterday.
Kansas City was able to grab the lead in the sixth inning on a Salvador Perez two-run home run, but the KC bullpen allowed three runs late to surrender the lead and the series.
The Royals finish the road trip 4-2, but still sit at 38-40 on the season, and two games out of a Wild Card spot.
After an off day today, the boys in blue will be back at Kauffman Stadium tomorrow night to host the Tampa Bay Rays. Coverage begins tomorrow night at 6, with first pitch at 6:40, on the Mighty 690, KGGF.
