Lady Raven Karys Washington Commits to Wichita State

A former Red Raven guard will be joining forces with a pair of other former Lady Ravens at Wichita State University.

Karys Washington has signed with the Shockers after two seasons at Coffeyville Community College. Washington played in 63 total games at CCC, averaging nine points and seven rebounds per game, including averaging 11 points and eight rebounds per night in her sophomore season, earning first-team All-KJCCC.

Shockers head coach Terry Nooner has plenty of praise for Washington, saying "she's tough, relentless, and exactly the type of competitor we need. Shocker Nation is going to love how she lays it all out on the line."

Washington is a 5-foot-10 guard from Fort Smith, Arkansas, and becomes the third player on the Wichita State roster from CCC, joining forward Cheyenne Banks and guard Kyleigh Ortiz.
