Dewey Names New Football Coach

The Dewey High School football program has a new leader for the 2025 season.

Scott Sapulpa has been announced as the Bulldoggers new head coach, being promoted from his originally planned role of defensive coodinator. Sapulpa has experience at Pawhuska, Muskogee, and Gore, among other spots, and will replace Ryan Richardson following his resignation last week.

Dewey High School Athletic Director Travis Ruble says Sapulpa brings strong leadership qualities.

The Bulldoggers will have multiple starters returning for the 2025 season, following a tough 2-8 season in 2024. Ruble says the future of Dewey football is bright.

Dewey opens the 2025 season against Locust Grove on August 29th.
