The second-leading scorer in Division 2 college basketball last season was in Lawrence visiting the Jayhawks over the weekend.
Guard Camron McDowell is a 6-foot-6 senior from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, where he set the D2 level on fire averaging 27.3 points per game last seaseon.
McDowell is from Griffin, Georgia, and was a three-star recruit out of high school. He began his career with the Georgia Bulldogs, before transferring to Jacksonville State, and then to NWOSU.
The point totals aren't the only thing that stands out with McDowell, as he also posts impressive efficiency, shooting 51% from the field and 39% from 3-point range. The guard has also heard from SMU, Cincinnati, Mississippi State, Rutgers, Georgia Tech, and Seton Hall.
