An opportunity for kids in Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma to improve their basketball skills is coming, with the annual Camp of Champions, hosted by Coffeyville Community College and Head Coach Jay Herkelman.

 

The camp is open for kids under 15 years of age, and all skill levels. Herkelman says he sees plenty of familiar faces each year.

 

Herkelman has been hosting the skills camp since he became the Red Raven head coach. He says being able to help campers find love of basketball is fulfilling for him.

 

With the Camp of Champions starting in less than two weeks, time is running out to get registered. Herkelman says there are a few ways to do that.

 

The 2025 Camp of Champions runs from June 16th-19th at Nellis Hall on the campus of CCC.
