The NBA Finals got underway last night in Oklahoma City, with the Thunder and Indiana Pacers squaring off for the NBA championship.
OKC held a lead for a majority of the night, with league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander having a game-high 38 points. Indiana would rally in the fourth quarter, however, and Tyrese Haliburton was the hero, hitting a game-winning shot with less than a second remaining.
It is only the second home loss for the Thunder this postseason, after dropping Game 1 to the Denver Nuggets in the conference semifinals, before winning the series in seven games.
Gilgeous-Alexander says the team has been in this position before.
Game 2 of the NBA Finals is Sunday night in Oklahoma City, and can be heard on our sister station KPGM in Bartlesville beginning at 7 p.m.
