The NBA Finals gets underway tomorrow night in Oklahoma City, with the top-seed Thunder battling the Indiana Pacers for the championship.
OKC went 68-14 in the regular season, cruising to the top seed in the Western Conference, and advancing past the Grizzlies, Nuggets, and Timberwolves on their quest to the Finals. Indiana went 52-30 and defeated the Pistons, upset the top-seed Cavaliers, and edged the New York Knicks.
It's a battle of opposing strengths, with Indiana boasting the league's most dangerous offense, and OKC combating with one of the league's toughest defenses. Guard Shai-Gilgeous Alexander says the key is making opposing stars uncomfortable.
The Thunder have numerous players that are considered all-league caliber defenders, including Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Alex Caruso, and Lu Dort. Dort says defense is what gave him his shot in the NBA.
Pregame for Game 1 begins tomorrow night at 7 p.m. CT, and can be heard on our sister station, 99.1 FM-KPGM.
