For the first time in school history, Fort Scott is the last baseball team standing in 4A.
The Tigers win their first state championship in program history, after a 6-4 win over Rock Creek. Fort Scott finishes the season with a 28-3 record, playing one of the toughest schedules in the state at the 4A level.
The program completes the most successful season in school history, having been ranked in the Top 5 in 4A for a majority of the regular season, under head coach Josh Regan, and capping it off with a state title run.
Senior pitcher Colt Rogers was a hero on the mound as well, serving as a veteran stabilizer for the team and getting valuable outs all week long.
