Wanda “Nadine” Fickle, 95, of Howard, Ks passed away Thursday March 21, 2024, at

Alderbrook Village in Arkansas City, KS. Wanda was born on June 7, 1928 to father Allen Loyd Sr. and mother Mary Gertrude Weyrauch.

 

Nadine married Bruce Dale Fickle Sr. on January 21, 1950 and together they had 7 children.

While the children were still in the home Nadine was an amazing mother and homemaker. She

was a great cook and most of the food she prepared was canned from their own garden.

Nadine later became Clerk of the District Howard, KS where she worked for 24 years and later

retired.

 

Nadine loved dancing with Bruce and going to the horse races. Nadine was married to Bruce for

66 years before he passed away on April 20, 2016. Nadine was a loving wife, mother and

grandmother. She was always devoted to her family. She will be forever remembered and

always in our hearts.

 

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Allen Loyd Jr., two sons, Charles

Thomas, and Bruce Dale Jr. and her son-in law, Don Moore.

 

Nadine is survived by her children, Raymond “Lynn” Fickle and his wife Pam, Randy Fickle and

his wife Tamara, Karen Gibson, Richard Fickle and his wife Angie, Sharon Moore, her sister

Mary Ellen Burch and her husband Sonny, and grandchildren, Cristy, Josh, Garrett, Seth,

Logan, Ryan and Jaryd, and 8 great grandchildren.

 

A Rosary will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 9:30 AM and followed by Mass at 10:00

AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moline, KS

The Family will be accepting people at 10:30 AM for visitation and the Funeral Service will be

held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Ks.

Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Moline, KS.
