Patricia "Patti" Elizabeth (Scott) Walter

Patricia “Patti” Elizabeth (Scott) Walter, 68, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Patti was born October 8, 1955, in Coffeyville, KS to Charles William Scott and Elizabeth Marie (Seals) Scott.

She graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1973. Graduated from Coffeyville Community College in 1975, and received her Master's in Nursing from the University of Kansas in 1979. She began her time in the medical field as an EMT, Paramedic, and then as a nurse until retiring from the nursing field in the fall of 2022.

Patti was a Coffeyville Community College Red Ravens Football & Basketball fan, attending countless games. Patti was a lifelong KU Jayhawk Alumni & a devout KU sports fan, where she attended some KU basketball games & always watched every televised KU game she could. Patti was a devout KS City Chiefs fan & got to attend one live Chiefs game with Fiancé John Fraser in 2019. Daughter Haylie was a gifted Country Music singer from a very age to a adult & Patti wholeheartedly supported & attended Haylies performances at numerous venues all over KS & many other states. She loved her grandson Tyner more than words can describe & along with Fiancé John Fraser, attended many of Tyners school programs, as well as Tyners many recreational soccer, baseball & basketball games. Patti was a animal lover & cherished her dogs, guinea pigs & turtles. Patti even became a reptile lover, after getting educated about snakes especially by Fiancé John Fraser. Patti was especially proud of her Choctaw-Cherokee heritage & enjoyed hunting Indian artifacts with her Fiancé in recent years.        

She was preceded in death by her Dad Charles William Scott, Mother Elizabeth Marie Scott, nephew Charles William Scott the third. Survivors include her brother, Charles Scott Jr (Jackie) of rural Coffeyville and daughter Haylie Marie Walter Bagwell & grandson Tyner Lee Bagwell, both of rural Coffeyville & lastly, the true love of her life John Fraser, from Fredonia & of the home in Coffeyville.

A visitation will be held at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Family will be present at the funeral home to greet friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Tyro Christian Church. Pastor J.B. Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery.
