Jim D. Fesler, 77, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at his home.
He was born on April 21, 1946, in Cedar Vale, Kansas to George Edward and Viola Elizabeth (Mitchell) Fesler. Jim grew up in the Hewins, Kansas area attending grade school in Hewins, he attended Cedar Vale High School graduating in 1964. After high school Jim attended McFarland Trade School in Coffeyville, becoming a Machinist.
Jim was employed as a Machinist at Magic Circle in Coffeyville for 45 years.
Jim enjoyed gardening and for many years spent Saturday at the Farmers Market selling his produce. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.
Survivors include two children Jason Fesler of Coffeyville, and Jessica Gilfillan and husband Jake of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Renny Peterson of Ramona, California, and Jack Fesler of Neosho, Missouri; one sister Violet Bahr of Foxfire Village, North Carolina; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Mary Ann Fesler; and one brother Adrian Peterson.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville with Chaplain Steven Foraker officiating.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
