Vicki Elaine Umbarger, 69, of Coffeyville, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at the Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
Elaine was born on June 22, 1954, in Paris, France, to Willard Bond and Leona (Baggerly) Wilson.
She was united in marriage to David Lee Umbarger on February 1, 1975, in Wichita, KS in front of family and friends.
Elaine was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was known and admired for her love of cooking and gardening. Elaine delighted in preparing meals for her family and nurturing her beloved elephant ears.
Elaine was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Coffeyville.
She is survived by her husband, David; her children, Amy, Clint, and Jared (Jennifer) Umbarger; six grandchildren, Ethan, Morgan, Dakota, Hunter, Connor, and Aubrey; her twin brother, Rick Bond; and sisters, Charleen Bond and Annette Gonzalez.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Kenneth Wilson.
Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024, at Bible Baptist Church in Coffeyville with Pastor Daniel Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial to the Bible Baptist Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
