Pastor James D. Feltner

Pastor James D. Feltner, age 76, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

James, a spirited and inspiring servant of God, was born on December 21, 1947, in Hazard, Kentucky to Sherman and Laura Bell (Shepherd) Feltner. His life was a testament to his faith, which was the cornerstone of his existence. He felt a profound calling to ministry, leading him to become a minister, a role he held with great devotion and generosity. His fervor for his faith was infectious, inspiring countless others to walk in the light of the Lord. In addition to his religious endeavors, James was an avid singer, whose voice was said to echo the hymns of angels. His love for leatherworking and knife collecting were unique attributes that added to the rich tapestry of his life.

James was united in holy matrimony with his beloved wife, Chyrel Andrews, on December 22, 1989. Their union was blessed with five children. James was a treasure to his family, his love for them as deep and vast as his love for the Lord.
