Judith Kay White

Judith Kay White, known affectionately to all as Judy, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Judy was born on May 19, 1942, in the quaint town of Cedar Vale, Kansas. For 81 years, she lived a life that was as rich and heartening as the dinner rolls she was famous for making. A loving wife, exceptional mother, and adored grandmother, Judy was a beacon of warmth and affection, illuminating the lives of all around her. Her unabashed love for her family was her guiding star, steering her through life's many twists and turns.

On October 19, 1958, she was united in marriage to Tommy White in Coffeyville, Kansas where the couple made their home, built their family and raised their kids. Judy was a dedicated OB nurse at CRMC, where she comforted and supported countless new mothers until her retirement in 2004. She was also an active member of the CRMC Auxiliary, a testament to her unwavering commitment to her community. Not one to be idle in her retirement, Judy filled her years with her beloved hobbies. She was an avid crocheter, creating blankets for her loved ones, she liked watching and photographing wild birds, and enjoyed going fishing. Judy's love for life was infectious, and you could always find her crafting, doing puzzles, playing cards, or shouting answers at her favorite game shows. She was proud of her achievements in bowling, having placed in State Bowling Tournaments on several occasions, and loved taking trips to Branson, Missouri.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Tommy White of the home, her loving daughters, Sheryl Church, Gina Willis and husband, John 'Steve', and Carmen Ragan all of Coffeyville, Kansas, grandchildren, Brandon (Maria) White, Mariah (Justin) Veach, Mindy (Dallas) Espe, Kayanna (Bryan) Adams, Tiffani (Jordan) Hills, Judy Willis, Derek (Alexis) Ragan, Lexi Ragan, and Alyssa Ragan; step-grandchildren, Lisa Sasse, Dustin Willis and Michael Canevit; great-grandchildren, Frankie, Kiley, Ethan, Brooklyn, Harley, Kristen, Hunter, Natalie and Gianna; a sister, Joyce Ann Lutz and husband, Don of Lane, Kansas, along with numerous extended relatives and many friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Nova Hestand; her dear son, Jeffrey White; her brother, Jerry Hestand, and her sister, Jannis Powell.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
