Obituaries

Raymond Kidd

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Raymond Kidd, who was born on September 11, 1967, in Minter City, Mississippi, and departed from us on October 20, 2023. A humble and loving soul, Raymond was a supportive pillar of strength for his family, friends, and everyone who had the good fortune of knowing him. He resided in Coffeyville, Kansas, for seven years, where his presence was a comforting constant.

Raymond was a skilled truck driver in the transportation business, an occupation he served in for five years. He had a deep passion for his work, particularly driving his semi, which was a testament to his dedication and commitment. He was also fond of playing with DJ equipment, a hobby that brought him immense joy and amusement, especially when he shared these moments with his daughter, Chanel. Family gatherings by the pool and traveling were among Raymond’s cherished pastimes, and these memories continue to warm the hearts of his loved ones. In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."

Raymond and Candi became a couple in 2001 and making it official by marriage in 2011.  They welcomed their daughter, Chanel in 2005.

Raymond Kidd is survived by his wife, Candi and his children, Brayden Kindhart, Chanel Kidd, Raymond Kidd, Tracey Kidd, and Gail Carter.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbra Kidd, and his grandmother, Rosielee Harris Kidd.

A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held at the Crowbar Independence, Iowa on November 4th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

We encourage those who knew Raymond to leave their memories of him and upload photos to his memorial page, as a testament to his enduring impact on their lives. His legacy of love, humility, and support continues to inspire us, and his memory will forever be engraved in our hearts.
