Brandon Wayne Neal

Brandon Wayne Neal, 39, of Coffeyville passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his family at his side.

 

Brandon was born on September 24, 1983, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Stuart and Donna (Nance) Neal. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended Garfield Elementary School, Roosevelt Middle School and graduated from Field Kindley High School in 2002, he

completed his education at Coffeyville Community College. Brandon lived an enriching life of 39 years in his hometown. He was resilient, always inspiring those around him with his fervor for life and his unwavering love for his family.

 

Brandon was a devoted husband to Jessica Neal, whom he married on August 8, 2015, and a proud and loving father to Harper Joy, who was his world. He was the cherished son of Stuart and Donna Neal, the beloved brother of Terry Neal, the adored son-in-law to Joe and Linda Briggs and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His family was the center of his universe, and he was the cornerstone of theirs. Professionally, Brandon was a skilled computer technician, applying the same dedication to his work as he did to his personal life.

 

Beyond his family and career, Brandon was passionate about basketball, running a basketball website and avidly supporting the Los Angeles Lakers and the Las Vegas Raiders. He also enjoyed WWE Wrestling and spent his leisure time working on computers. In his high school years, he played the trumpet in the band, a testament to his multifaceted interests. His resilient spirit and inspiring demeanor will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all those fortunate enough to have known him.

 

Public visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and relatives later in the day from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 402 West 8th Street, Coffeyville, Kansas, 67337.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at the Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Diane Massey officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.

 

The family suggests memorials in Brandon's memory be made to the Harper Joy Neal Education Fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
