Robert Eugene Morgan

On August 17th, 2023, held his daughter's hand as he left from this world and entered Robert Eugene Morgan the kingdom of heaven.

Robert was born on February 7th, 1968, to Janet Morgan and Delano (Tom) Morgan.

Robert grew up on a 100-acre farm in Coffeyville, Kansas with 3 brothers Randy Morgan, Danny Morgan, and Tommy Morgan and 2 sisters Pam (Rosson) Poston and Norma (Morgan) Fields. They all loved to roam in the woods on the property and swing on a vine across the gully together. They got into countless shenanigans together.

As children, Randy, and Danny always relegated Robert to 'the little ones' (Tommy and Norma) when he wanted to tag along with the big boys, but no one was telling Robert who he was. He was determined.

"Doobert" is the nick name coined by his siblings that his nieces and nephews still refer to him as to this day.

Robert attended school at Longfellow, Roosevelt, and Field Kindley. Robert Quit school in 11th grade and got his GED the same year he would have graduated high school.

In April 8th1994 Robert welcomed his only child, Ashli Dawn Morgan (Holcomb), into the world. He loved to sing music with her, and they shared a mutual love for Rascal Flatts.

Robert went on to work at Acme Foundry and later John Deere from where it was his lifelong dream to retire. He worked the carousel and the forklift and enjoyed every moment, even if he got bumped on a different shift.

He loved to sing and party with his many friends.  His baby sister will never forget her 21st birthday party that he threw for her.

Roberts favorite Holiday was The 4th Of July. Every summer he would buy as many of the loudest fireworks as he could. He took such joy in setting off the biggest and loudest one. For a few moments the noise and color would make the distractions of the world disappear.

A common theme with Robert is that he found an escape through music. It could be head banging to Metallica in his Silver Monte Carlo or serenading the trees in the back yard with Garth Brooks. Many times, he found a deep connection to a CD, and he would fixate on it. It would play on repeat until he was sure his heart was content.

Robert loved his mama. When he needed a glass of sweet tea and godly advice, he knew she was right up the drive. He would sit at her kitchen table and mull over the troubles of the day while she either encouraged him or told him how it was. Even when it seemed like he wasn't listening, his mama's advice touched him deeply. She brought him into the world, and she was with him the day he left.

Those who knew Robert knew that he could have a very hard outer shell and sharp words that cut deep but when he allowed you to break through that shell, he was a very soft, loving, and goofy man. He made some bad choices through the years but through his relationship with the Lord he overcame those choices and addictions.

Robert was who he was and there was no changing that. You could always find him with a Mountain Dew in his hand and a HoneyBun in his mouth.

Robert is proceeded in death by his father Delano Radar (Tom) Morgan and his little brother Tommy Morgan

He is survived by his mother Janet, siblings Pam, Randy, Danny, and Norma, his daughter Ashli, his nephews Stephen, Cody, Kevin and Dakota and his nieces Kayla, Angelica, and Jennifer.

His nephew Kevin Greenfield said it best "Robert lived life on his terms and enjoyed every moment".
