Patricia Ruth Cease

Patricia Ruth Cease, a beloved member of the Coffeyville community, passed away on August 17, 2023. She was born on December 5, 1957, in Coffeyville, Kansas, the place that would be her home throughout her life.

Patricia embarked on her educational journey right here in Coffeyville. She attended school in the area and eventually graduated from FKHS. During her time in high school, Patricia distinguished herself as an active member of the choir, lending her beautiful voice to harmonies that filled the halls. Her passion for music would continue to be a significant part of her life.

While Patricia faced health challenges that limited her ability to work, she found joy and fulfillment during her younger adult years when she worked at George's Cafeteria. It was there that she discovered a sense of purpose and had the opportunity to connect with others in the community.

Those who were fortunate enough to have known Patricia will remember her as a delightful, funny, and caring individual. With a warm smile on her face and an infectious laughter in her voice, she brightened the lives of those around her. Her genuine concern for others and kind-hearted nature left an indelible mark on all who crossed her path.

One of Patricia's great passions was singing. She used her melodic voice to uplift spirits and touch hearts. Whether it was performing special music at church or lending her talents to the church choir, Patricia's angelic voice resonated with all who heard it. But Patricia's ministry extended beyond singing — she also found solace in sending greeting cards to friends and church members. Remembering birthdays and extending words of encouragement brought immense joy to Patricia's life.

In times of leisure, Patricia found solace in various hobbies. She delighted in solving jigsaw puzzles while surrounded by laughter and good company. Serious about board games, Patricia embraced healthy competition and excelled at games like Yahtzee. Her meticulous scorekeeping revealed a determined spirit and an unwavering desire to succeed. Additionally, she shared a love for square dancing with her parents, relishing the lively steps and infectious energy of the dance floor.

As Patricia's health declined, she found comfort at Medicalodges on Midland, where she resided since June of 2023. It was there that she received exceptional care and support from her dedicated caregivers during the final chapter of her life.

Patricia now rests in eternal peace alongside her father, Harold Cease, her brother Donald Glenn Cease, and her sister Peggy Lee Samadani. Although their physical presence may be gone, their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Patricia leaves behind a loving family who cherishes the memories they shared with her. She is survived by her dear mother Ruth, sister-in-law Donna Cease, brother-in-law Ahmad Samadani, and niece and nephews: Caveh Samadani and his wife Michelle, Setare Perryman and her husband Joey, Amir Samadani and his wife Whitney. She also leaves behind several great nieces and nephews who will keep her spirit alive through the stories they will tell.

It is impossible to forget the tremendous impact Patricia had on those around her. Her infectious laughter, caring demeanor, and beautiful voice will forever echo in our hearts. As we gather to bid farewell to our dear Patricia Ruth Cease, let us celebrate a life well-lived and the profound legacy of love she leaves behind.
