Bonnie Ladean Long

Bonnie Ladean Long of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Medicalodges on Midland at the age of 92.

 

Bonnie was born on March 11, 1931, in Edna, Kansas to Ray Ona and Edna May (Comstock) Manley.  She grew up and went to school in Edna.

 

Bonnie loved swimming, sewing, fishing, skiing, playing games, and dancing.   She was the best interior decorator and did most of the remodeling of her home herself. She could tear down a wall and rebuild a new one on her own.

 

On May 23, 1948, Bonnie married the love of her life Robert "Bob" Long in Parsons.  During their marriage they had four children, Larry, Cathy, Kelly and Bobbi.  Bob and Bonnie had just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary prior to his passing on November 11, 1998.

 

Survivors include her children, Cathy Long (Vin), Kelly Long (Necia) and Bobbi Sells (Ron); brother Darrell Manley (Norma); sister-in-law Mary Manley; grandchildren Justin Roberts, Morgan Sells, Shannon Adamson, Aaron Long, Lisa Compston, Amy Caulkins, David Carr, Marta Carr, Ty Long, Shelli Burdiek, Holli Dieckmann; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, and her husband Bob, Bonnie is not at rest with son Larry Long and brother Sheldon Manley.

 

 

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., in Coffeyville at 2pm.
