Terrie L. Mummert

Terrie L. Mummert, age 74, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

 

Terrie was born on March 25, 1946 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Lloyd Jarman and Hallie Bess Raemhild.  She was raised by her mother and step father Jess Hill in Coffeyville where she attended local school and graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School.

On July 9, 1975 she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Mummert in Miami, Oklahoma.  The couple made their home in Coffeyville.  Jim preceded her in death on February 5, 2017. 

 

Terrie worked for First National Bank and continued with them when it changed to Bank IV, Boatmans Banks and Bank of America until she retired from the position of Vice President of the Loan Department. For many years Jim and Terrie owned and operated Chicks Pool Hall in Coffeyville.

 

Terrie was a member of Tyro Christian Church.  She enjoyed traveling, shopping, barbecuing and watching crime movies.  Most of all she loved the time she spent surrounded by her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

 

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Danny Beck of Chicago, Illinois, David Bell of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Olivia Pearl Beck of Chicago, Illinois, Destiny Lynn (Wade) Roberts of Kansas City, Missouri; great grandchild, Ivy Lynn Roberts of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Raymond Jarman of Coffeyville, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Hallie and Jess Hill; father, Lloyd Jarman; loving husband, Jim Mummert; and a half-brother, Stacy Jarman.

 

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.

 

Following Terrie’s wishes, cremation will take place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.  No public services are scheduled at this time.
