Bobby Lee Kyle

Bobby Lee Kyle age 89 of Coffeyville passed away on October 29, 2019 at Windsor Place.

Bobby was born on November 6, 1929 in Chanute to Meredith “Jim” and Erma (Burns) Kyle. Bobby grew up in Erie where he attended elementary school and graduated from Senior High School with the class of 47. He continued his education at Parsons Junior College where he played football. It was during this time he met the next door neighbor, Dolores Watson while roller skating. The couple was united in marriage on August 19, 1950. Bobby began teaching in Erie until returning to the Kansas State Teachers College now known as Pittsburg State University where he earned his bachelors degree in education. The couple made their home in Coffeyville and Bobby began a lengthy teaching career at Rosevelt that would span over 37 years. When Bobby was at home, he enjoyed building model airplanes, golfing, camping and boating at grand lake, feeding his birds, and caring for his home and lawn.  He was very meticulous in everything he did, he loved to read so he would have the knowledge of how to accomplish electrical or boat building. Bobby would quiz the random person on the street so that he was always teaching and sharing his knowledge.

Bobby’s memories will live on with his wife of 69 years, Dolores, brother Ronald Kyle his wife Madelyn, sister-in-law Dixie Cummings, 5 nephews and 2 nieces.

He now rests with his parents.
