Andrew "Andy" Phillip Castorena

Andrew “Andy” Phillip Castorena, of Coffeyville at the age of 55 old went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2019 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Andrew was born on June 26, 1964 to Micaela Maria Rodriquez (Mickey) and Octavin Catalino Castorena II (Keido) in Junction City, Kansas.

Andrew lived most of his life in Coffeyville, where he met the love of his life, Mammie Freda Searan.  They married April 27, 1999 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  The couple made their home in Coffeyville, then made the decision to move to rural Coffeyville in 2010.  Andy and Mammie loved country living, enjoying each other’s company just riding around on country roads.  They enjoyed the simple country life and welcomed family for gathering at their home.  He enjoyed these times and spending time with his grandchildren.  Andy loved his pets, especially Bob the turtle.

Andy had a life changing accident on March 25, 2016 where he was hospitalized for 3 months.  The accident forced him into an early retirement from Acme Foundry where he had been a dedicated worker for 23 years. In August on 2019 he was diagnosed with cancer and his wish was to spend his days surrounded by his family and his loving wife, Mammie.  The Journey Home in Bartlesville made that wish a reality while receiving the best care possible.

Memories of life with Andy will carry on through his wife, Mammie of the home; children, Virginia and Cele Ensaldo, James and Tami Jones all of Coffeyville, Debbie and Robert Underwood of Parsons, Kansas, Elden & Jenny Smith, Ronnie & Brittany Smith all of Coffeyville, Renae & Tracy Perkins of Noxie, Oklahoma, Carrissa Castorena of Coffeyville; nineteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren; siblings, Robert L. A Celebration of life service will be held at Dearing Christian Church, 302 Independence Ave, Dearing, KS 67340 on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:00 am with Pastor J B Brown officiating.  The family has requested that memorial contributions be made payable to The Journey Home, 900 NE Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006 or contributions may be left in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.  To leave a message of condolence visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com
