Donald L. Ross, 60, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

 

He was born on April 3, 1959 at Coffeyville to LaVern and Ethel (Gatewood) Ross. Donald grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School.

 

He married Rebecca York, they were later divorced.

 

Donald was employed at Dixon Industries and later at Sherwin-Williams until becoming disabled due to his health.

 

Survivors include his children, Melissa Ellis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sarah Ross of Lenexa, Kansas, Melanie Foster of Coffeyville, and Shawn Ross of Erie, Kansas; brothers, Gary Ross of Coffeyville and Lonnie Ross of Colorado; and twelve grandchildren.

 

A Memorial Service celebrating Donald’s life will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio with Pastor Diane Massey of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

 

Friends may sign the register book on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

 

The family suggests memorial can be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital; contributions can be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
