Janet Elaine Ross

Janet Elaine Ross age 58 of Coffeyville passed away on February 26, 2019 at St Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.

Janet was born on March 28, 1960 in Augusta, KS. to David and Betty (Wilson) Dobson. Janet attended local Coffeyville schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School. She continued her education at Coffeyville Community College where she earned her associates degree in business. She worked for Taco Tico and then started a career at Walmart where she was currently employed and had been for the past 35 years. Janet was united in marriage to Raymond Ross on April 18, 1986 in Miami, OK. Janet was a member of the Coffeyville First Nazarene Church, she cherished her church family. She also loved her co-workers, after 35 years they were more than co-workers to Janet, they were her second family. When not working, Janet enjoyed reading, spending time with her nieces and nephews, watching some of the classic tv programs like the Andy Griffith Show and I Love Lucy. She and Raymond also loved watching their favorite baseball teams, of course she loved the Royals and Raymond would cheer on the Yankees. They may have even given each other a hard time about the friendly rivalry. The couple would gather some of the nieces and nephews and go watch the Tulsa Drillers, spending time as a family always meant the most. Janet will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her sincere compassion, and how she never complained no matter her current situation.

Janet’s memories will live on with her siblings, Jerry Dobson his wife Terri, Debbie Bauder her husband Dan, and Diane Barton her husband Jim and numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Summer.

She now rests with her parents, her husband Raymond, brothers David Albert Dobson Jr his wife Shirley and James Allen Dobson, and nephew David Gene Dobson.
