Richard William Henry

Richard William Henry age 69, lifetime resident of Coffeyville passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2019 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was surrounded by his family. 

Rickey was born in Coffeyville on July 21, 1950 to Robert and Thelma (Thomason) Henry. He attended local grammar schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School. He continued his education at Coffeyville Community College. Rickey was united in marriage to Evelyn “Sue” (Woodall) on August 29, 1970 in Caney. Rickey started working at the family business, Henry’s Auto. He continued working in auto parts at car dealerships. He had a passion for the 57 Chevy, Oldies Rock music, and drinking Coca Cola. Rickey was funny, always telling jokes, and teasing his family and friends. At the age of 49 Rickey lost his sight, you would never guess that his vision was impaired as he never let it define him.

Rickey’s memories will live on with his children, Richard W. Henry Jr his wife Lori and Monica Hart her husband Bret brothers Terry K Henry, Dee D Henry, sisters Candace Bliss her husband Ray and Sherry Ellis her husband Rick, sister in law’s, Patty Samson, Debra Evensvold, and Becky Wheatley, grandchildren, Haylie Dixon, Drew White, Callie Hart, Allica Henry, Taylor Henry, and Drew Henry, great-grandchildren, Caydin, Masen, and Maeve. Foster children Aubrey and Eddie Cauley,

He now rests with his parents, his wife Sue, and brother Dana R Henry.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. A private family burial will follow. The family suggests memorials to the Coffeyville Meals on Wheels and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave Coffeyville, KS 67337.
