CPL Expels Wichita Independent

Wichita Independent has been expelled from the Central Plains League for a full school year, in a unanimous decision by the conference.

CPL President Greg Rosenhagen, who is also the principal of Cheney, revealed that a motion was made and passed during a meeting in late April.

Rosenhagen adds that "the concerns are mostly about ethics and the lack of cooperation regarding league expectations," and that the committee believes Wichita Independent has failed to meet expected standards of the conference.

Independent is a private school in Wichita, and has been a member of the CPL since 2004. The decision did not involve KSHSAA, but is considered final.
