The Kansas City Royals win their sixth straight game, with an 11-2 victory over the Houston Astros.

 

Seth Lugo threw six innings only allowing two runs and earning his second win of the season. The bullpen pieced together the final nine outs without allowing a run.

 

First baseman Vinnie Pasquantino went 3-3 with his first home run of the season. Manager Matt Quatraro says it was good to see Pasquantino turn a corner.

 

The Royals are 8-4 on the young season, their best start since beginning 15-8 in the 2021 season. They will go for a series sweep this afternoon, sending Brady Singer to the mound against Hunter Brown of Houston. Coverage begins at 12:30 p.m. with first pitch at 1:10 on Sunshine 98.9 FM.
