The Kansas City Royals didn't have to travel far to find their choice for the Opening Day first pitch.

 

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will be tasked with delivering the first pitch of the season at Kauffman Stadium next week.

 

The Royals will also have other Opening Day activities, with a live musical performance, as well as Bobby Witt Jr. bobbleheads for the first 30,000 fans in attendance.

 

Kansas City opens the season on March 28th, with Cole Ragans the starting pitcher against the Minnesota Twins.
