Kansas State begins their NIT journey tonight against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

 

This will be the ninth all-time meeting between the two schools, with each team having four wins in the previous eight matchups.

 

Wildcats Head Coach Jerome Tang says it's unfortunate to miss the tournament, but a new opportunity is here.

 

The Wildcats are looking for their 20th win of the season tonight, in their first trip to the NIT since 2009. Tang says he hopes his team embraces the moment.
