The Erie Red Devils will be competing for a state championship.
Erie is one of eight 2A schools to win a sub state championship, and advance to the state tournament in Dodge City.
The Red Devils pulled off upsets of consecutive higher seeds, beating 2-seed Oxford in the semifinals before beating top seed Pittsburg St. Mary's Colgan 50-48 in the championship game.
Erie's is now 18-5 under first year coach Braven Born. Their next game will be the state quarterfinals, matching up with 20-3 Salina Sacred Heart on Thursday afternoon.
