Former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard has his new home.
The senior signal caller has verbally committed to Ohio State University. Howard was 12-5 in two seasons in Manhattan, including leading the Wildcats to a 2022 Big 12 Conference championship.
ESPN reporter Tom VanHaalan says this makes sense for both Howard and the Buckeyes.
The Ohio State coaching staff conducted an in-depth evaluation of each of the top quarterbacks in the transfer portal, coming to the conclusion that Howard was clearly the best available.
Howard will be a fifth-year senior with one season of eligibility remaining, and will enter 2024 as the favorite to be the Buckeye starting QB.
