The first battle of Montgomery County on the basketball court ends in a doubleheader split.

 

The Lady Nado came up just short in a 39-31 loss to the Lady Bulldogs. Kaylin Caron hit multiple tough shots to keep Coffeyville within striking distance, but IHS made just enough plays, in large part to senior guard Cam Eytcheson.

 

Lady Nado head coach Tyler Coots says his team needs to mature defensively.

 

The boys played exceptional defense and came away with a 47-32 road victory. Griffin Adamson controlled the paint and had a strong performance, both scoring inside and blocking shots.

 

Head coach Griff Walker says he's grown a great amount from last season.

 

Both the boys and girls are 4-2 heading into the winter break, and both teams return with Parsons on January 5th.
