Ravens Sweep Saints in Doubleheader

The Red Ravens wrap up conference play before the winter break with positive momentum, sweeping the Seward County Saints in Nellis Hall.

The Lady Ravens win their 10th game of the season, playing suffocating defense all night, holding Seward to 15% shooting. Saints guard Jamia Carter entered the night second in the league in scoring, but struggled most of the night.

Raven coach Tony Turner says his defense reacted well to tendencies.

The men's team won their second straight conference game, with a 72-57 victory. The game was close for most of the night, before the Ravens went on a 20-4 run late.

Assistant coach Jake Odum says the team is growing and learning how to play in crunch time.

Freshman Jahni Summers led the team with 26 points. Odum says they've been waiting for his breakout game.

The men play one final game before break, traveling to Seminole State on Saturday afternoon.
