The dogs were out in full force last night in Galena; the Caney Valley Bullpups split a doubleheader, with the ladies defeating the Bulldogs 64-30, while the Bullpup boys fell 50-46.

 Timely shooting from beyond the arc and great defense saw the Lady Bullpups lead 19-2 after the 1st quarter and 43-11 at the half.

 Multiple three pointers by Myra Denny and Alysa Scott helped Caney to improve to 1-1 on the season.

 For the guys, Ben Matthews and Payton Darden helped Caney to a 26-24 lead at the half. Galena outscored the Bullpups 14-6 in the 3rd quarter to capture their 1st victory of the season; Caney falls to 0-2.

 Both girls and guys travel to Ramona Friday.
