Coach Coots Starts Career with Win

The new Lady Nado head coach starts his career off with a win 51-41 over Caney.

The Field Kindley girls got off to a hot start shooting 54% from the field in the first half and would lead 30-26 at halftime. The second half started rocky for the Lady Nado as they would get cold from the floor and Taiylor and Kaylin Caron got into foul trouble. Despite shooting 23% in the second the Lady Nado, thanks in large part to good defense, extended their second-half lead and would win by 10. Head Coach Tyler Coots says it's a good feeling to get that first win out of the way.

Erin Lopez would lead the Lady Nado in scoring with 15 and Olivia Ransom would add 10, including two three-pointers. The Lady Nado will head down to Oklahoma for a three-game slate at the Ty Hewitt Memorial Tournament. They open up with a matchup tomorrow against Chelsea at 4:00pm on Sonshine 98.9 KQQF.
